In my search for all things fragrant in Korea, I finally ran across a

store that not only sold incense - but sold ONLY tea and incense.

They had aloeswood chips, and aloeswood malas, along with all kinds of

medicinal teas. The incense is supposed to be medicinal too. It

appears to me that Korean incense is very much along the lines of high

quality Japanese incense like Baieido, but it's definately different

fragrance-wise. Here's some information on one brand they gave me:

Jing Kwan Incense Sticks

There was another brand we bought, where we got a mixture of sticks in

a nice wooden tube. It was even more Oriental medicine oriented. Heh.

We also got to sample some delicious hydrangea tea.

All in all, it was a neat experience in a very nice day. The more I

see of Korea, the more I love it. :)

FYI, here are some examples of Korean celedon-ware incense burners. I

bit overpriced, but still very pretty. We have the lotus and rabbit

one (but i only paid 13$ for it) but we mostly use a little kim-chee

pot with rice ash in it.
