well, I've got another case - after only being cleared up for a few days in the

exact same place!!! My FACE!!! from ear to ear under the chin line, on the chin

up to the corners of the mouth and down my neck....I am SO INSANE today!!! the

first bout lasted about 2 wks....I tried just about everything in every

conceivable way .. nothing really worked...this time..I will skp the clorox as

it did really burn my skin :-) ... I wish I could find jewelweed - but even

though I can find LOTS of poision ivy/oak surrounding my farm - I can find no

jewelweed!!!! Right now...I'm trying toothpaste .. someone said that might

help...actually I have spread that over a concoction of

rosemary/clovebud/lavendar/peppermint/eucalyptus/tee tree oils in a base of a

lanolin cream .... it makes my skin 'sizzle' but not in the same way as the

itching - so hopefully it is doing something.

as far as water spreading.....I've always done this (and then found the same

'cure' on various websites) .. flush the area with water....getting warmer and

warmer and warmer until the water is so hot its almost scalding....and it

works!!!! I've always done that - thought I was nuts - but at least I know I'm

not the only one - apparently when you apply HOT HOT water to the area, it

overloads the nerve endings or something and triggers the itching response to go

off - at least temporarily - so you get some relief - currently - in the spot

that I have it - I bend over the kitchen sink and take out the sprayer and run

it until I get relief .. its a weird sensation that you get - you know when you

have it hot enough by the build up of sensation in the area and then WHAM the

itching and pain stops .... it's almost a GREAT feeling as it goes over the top

:-) .... but of course, like everything else...never lasts long enough....

Well, if anyone else has some suggestions - or how to get jewelweed - I'd

appreciate it :-)

Blessings,

Pam

Look in the woods. Jewelweed likes damp soil and filtered sunlight to deep

shade.
