Guest guest
Hello All, I've got a really bad earache in my right ear tonite. I put warm garlic oil & cotton in it, but if it's not better soon, I will be forced to go to the doc. I HATE going to the doc, so if anyone has any good home remedies......... I would REALLY appreciate hearing from you. Hugs, Pat
Guest guest
I know that some people will argue with this one, but my son swears by it, and so do the people that I know who have actually used this method. I put either oatmeal or rice in a sock and warm it in the microwave. My son holds the sock to his ear and says that it helps right away. Last week a lady I work with said that her daughter used this method and it helped her right away. My son prefers oatmeal because of the comforting scent, but if we don't have oatmeal, we use rice. Good luck. Dawn Hello All, I've got a really bad earache in my right ear tonite. I put warm garlic oil & cotton in it, but if it's not better soon, I will be forced to go to the doc. Guest guest
Thanks Jan & Dawn. I slept with the warm garlic oil & a flaxseed microwave sock, but it was still bad this morning. (Didn't even think about tea tree oil) I finally went to the doc on my lunch hour & she said the ear canal was really swollen & inflamed. Gave me Rx for antibiotic drops & pain drops. I guess I'm a wimp. I usually give the herbal/home remedies longer to work, but I hate pain. I'll have to give the oatmeal sock a try tonite. ) Hugs, Pat > I know that some people will argue with this one, but my son swears by it, and so do the people that I know who have actually used this method. Guest guest
Pat, I am a wimp too. I see no reason for suffering. If home/herbal remedies do not work then it is time for drastic measures! I am glad you are feeling better.
