Hi all,

I saw some droppings in our storage unit. :(

I put some cotton balls with peppermint EO today, and am hoping

it'll work. Any suggestions or good ideas? TIA.

You need heavy duty artillery if they are rats.

I've just found the best rat traps known to man. They are VICTOR brand and

made in the US.

Do a search and you'll find their site. I thought it was weird to see a

site with rat traps that had testimonials until I saw how well they worked.

Now I feel like writing one myself!

Hi Vicki,

Thank you for the info. :)

Hmmm......I prefer not to kill or harm them if possible......and

will be happy just make them avoid chewing on my stuff or

contaminating the area with some virus or something. Is there any

smell of EO or herbs they hate?

I heard that if you feed them chocolate they can't digest it and they get gassy

and then expire from excess gas. I have never tried it as I need the chocolate

sometimes and don't want to feed them any of my stash. Kathy

I don't know about rats and mice, but my BIL in Mississippi uses amonia soaked

sponges to keep racoons and opossums and skunks out of his attic and storage

areas. I know it is not an herb or EO, but if you try it, and if it works with

rats and mice, let me know.
