Guest guest Posted July 7, 2004 Report Share Posted July 7, 2004 Hey Marti, I found that it's easier to render the beeswax rather than filter it and risk spilling it on myself. Been there, done that. If you have and old pot you don't care about, you can throw the beeswax in with some water, then bring to a boil, let it cool until it's solid but still slightly warm, and scrape the nasties off the bottom. Repeat as necessary - but unless it's really filthy, it's shouldn't take more than one or times. You can either throw the water away, or filter it and make some nice, beeswax-scented soap with it.
