Guest guest
Great phonetic southern accent, Butch, but since when is MD deep south? lol As for beer drinking - you might be hard-pressed to find someone to outdo my Brit hubby on that one. You must look us up when you're back in the states.....he will use any excuse to fish and drink beer....and get this - he doesn't need my permission! I'm not one of those silly wives who must give permission - he's an adult and knows when there's work to be done fishing takes a back seat. I don't need to be his mom, too! And....he uses live bait, not plastic worms - ick. I do wish he'd go easy on the reels, though - they are getting a bit pricey! And when I think of how many hydrosols and EOs I could buy with that $$$!!!! Cindy - Butch Owen Friday, July 02, 2004 9:04 PM OT: Feeshing and Such Yo Lana, Cindy .. IF .. you live in the South .. where we got them Hawg Bass .. cause ain't nuthing but Bass minners in the Nawth due to the short growing season .. and IF your husband has a bass boat .. and likes to drink beer and tell lies (which are requirements for fishermen ceptin you can't have no beer in the boat during tournies) then on my swing through Gawd's Kuntry twixt the latter part of July through mebbe the middle of September or so .. I'll be happy to stop by for some lessons. ;-) Deep sea feeshing .. be it trolling or bottom feeshing .. is a good time for all .. and its meat feeshing .. and I like it. But sea feesh don't got no smarts .. you just catch'em. Them Hawg Bass is smarter'n the average feller .. you gotta pay attention to temperature and Ph of the water .. gotta have a tacklebox with $7,500 worth of fancy lures which you never use .. and a dang 17 ft Ranger Deep V (hand made in Flippin, Arkansas) with a 175 HP Johnson and a couple'a trollin motors .. and 7 expensive rods/reels cause there's no time to switch baits and that's the legal limit in most tournies. Then you gotta watch some local Redneck whut knows the lake come out with a paper sack fulla plastic worms in the rite color (which he knows but you don't cause he reads the water better than you do) and see him tear you a new butt with his $14.95 Zebco 404 rod/reel and his $1.79 worth of plastic worms. And the heck of it is, folks don't get to keep the feesh in a tournie nohow .. its catch and release so them you do catch (less'n you be that Redneck with the paper bag) cost about $350 a pound. It ain't .. meat fishing. ;-) Butch
