I have just been glancing through an old book that a friend loaned

me. This book is a compilation of 11 magazines called 'Country

Bizarre' published in the UK in the early 1970s.

For me it was like going back 25 years to when I was deeply involved

in herb growing, wild gathering and plant conservation projects. This

book is packed with information on folk lore, plant lore, great

recipes, herbs, fragrant plants, trees, ecology, candles, beekeeping,

etc. etc. There are also many very beautiful black and white

drawings.

I am sure many on this group would just love this book if they could

get hold of a copy. The details are as follows and well worth doing

a search of second hand book sellers to see if anyone has it: 'The

Complete Country Bizarre' edited by Andy Pittaway and Bernard

Scofield. Publishers Astragal Press, London. ISBN 0 85139 1133

I am told that ISBN is not the same in the USA, but perhaps an author

search might turn it up. I think it even worth the mail cost to get

it from the UK if anyone comes across copies.
