Guest guest
Congratulations! 10 pounds WOW! My largest was 8 pounds and now she is 16 years old. Kathy from OH - Jennifer Flanagan 6/28/2004 12:21:09 AM Birth Announcement: Its a Boy! Writing you to let you all know I had my son By Cesarean on Wednesday at 12:23 pm. (Bet some of you did not even know I was pregnant! LOL) After two days of labor, despite dilating to 4 and effacing 80%, the baby's head had not come past -3 station. Which is still very high up. The water bag was bulging out of the opening to the cervix. and the head was far above that. There was suggestion by the doctor who's care I was in that the cord was right near the opening to the birth canal, and that if my water broke it could go right in there and cut off the baby's oxygen. Also by the time I got to the hospital my contractions which Were only coming 1 every 10 mins for 2 days had started going like every half hour. Very frustrating, Yet at the same time the pain of this labor was the worse I have ever had. I was kind of ready for a c section. Well during the csection they found out the cord was indeed right near the head and so the chance of it going into the canal definitely was high. So I feel confident in my decision to do this. Especailly after trying my darndest for 2 days! Oh and! He weighed 10 lbs 6 1/4 oz!! The ultrasound techs were correct on his size. Had I gone naturally his body still may not have fit in fact most likely would not have. It is amazing, he is supposedly a big boy, but doesn't seem big to me at all! Maybe it is because my other son is so huge! The first few days in the hospital we had no roommates. The last day we got a mom who did not know how to/or did not care to take care of her baby so baby was always crying.. and the crying made my motherly instincts kick in so I had post labor contractions all night with lots of bleeding! Boy am I glad to be home! Oh yes! Forgot to say.. We decided to name him Graham Morgen Talk to you all soon! Jennifer New and Improved Mail - Send 10MB messages! I had my 3rd baby back in Dec--8 lb 6 oz. I thought he was so huge and that I was absolutely going to die during delivery. Talk about wielding the knife meself.... I didn't have any painkillers w/ him either...yeah, six months later, I'm still cringing! Two days? I'm glad you and your son came through and all is well. You deserve a thousand " kililees " ! Guest guest
Congrats on the big boy !! I can relate to having a big one - my 'baby' will be 20 on July 15 and he came into this world at 9.5lbs - all natural birth, no drugs. He was wearing 9 month size clothes when we left the hospital ! Still don't know how I did it. Paula ........in Michigan Coming soon Farm Fresh Soaps & Candles paula - Andrea Jones Tuesday, June 29, 2004 11:35 PM RE: Birth Announcement: Its a Boy!
