Guest guest
I have been an essential oil addict for many years and use them in my massage, in the bath, in a diffuser, etc. Love them all and will probably use them until I'm no longer in this world. For quite some time I have been thinking about getting into soapmaking just for my own personal use and probably for friends and family, like my synergies. Reading about the first soapmaking experience here has got me back to seriously considering trying my hand at it. So my questions are, for someone who knows absolutely nothing about soapmaking, what is the best way to start learning about it, what books would you recommend for a total novice, and any other advice for someone that knows nothing about soapmaking. I am not the type to jump into something before learning as much as I can about it so that I can feel at least a little bit comfortable with the ingredients and such. Also, what are some good websites with soapmaking instructions and soapmaking supplies, etc. I know that I'm in for big trouble if it's even half as addicting as playing with essential oils but I do have the time to devote myself to lots of learning and experimenting so any tips, hints, and plain old guidance would be deeply appreciated. Guest guest
Yes, I definety recommend Kathy Miller's site!! I still, after more than 5 years, go to her site to check on things. Her oil properties site to be more spacific. Anita Rosanne, The first website I would recommend is www.millersoap.com Very informative, and I think you will do fine with it.
