Guest guest
OK folks (Butch!) I was speaking with a supplier yesterday that I was referred to by a producer in Italy. I was astonished at their prices and commented on that- and their big shpeal was that they tested -in house- all batches of incoming EOs with GC and mass spectometry. I replied that I had a very affordable supplier who batch tested all oils (Hi Butch!) and they replied that they knew of no one in the US using MS on every batch , and that you needed MS to know what was really in there yada yada. She then went on to tell me about a Neroli that they recently tested for a large company which was " full of pesticides. orange oil and petitgrain- and no Neroli " Anyway- how much of this is marketing hype? Is GC sufficient? She also referred to organic oils being more likely to be adulterated. True? I can see why as they fetch a higher price... Anyway- I bought the oils I was looking for from Butch- because I always know I get quality from him- and he is " no hype " and all quality. I am interested in feedback on the above, though!
