Guest guest
Has anyone ever used this oil to make their own lotion? If so, at what amount will it start to turn the skin orange? Thanks. Rosanne

Guest guest
Hi Christa Marie, I add rosehip seed oil to my lotion also. It is a beautiful lotion. It feels great and it's nice and orange! Oh, what the heck. It's summertime anyway. So what if I turn orange. No seriously, my skin isn't turning orange. I was just wondering if there was a recommended usage rate for the oil. Thanks. Guest guest
I use this oil ... the extract. The recommended usage rate I have seen is 0.1% to 8.0% which is a pretty wide range. I usually use at less than 1%. The Snowdrift Farm site says, " Because of the unusual composition of Sea Buckthorn oil, it is often thought of as an essential oil rather than a fixed oil. " http://www.snowdriftfarm.com/seabuckthorn.html That would seem to indicate a lower usage. HTH... Linda Wallen Village Treasures ljwallen " Leave room in your garden for the angels to dance.
