Hi Butch,

Make up another bed, I am coming over!! LOL!!!

Bonnie Washburn, Perry Maine

Below is another Patalya Resort.

This one is but a 15 minute drive from Ankara .. in an area where many

years ago (during my first trip to Turkey) we used to hunt and fish ..

but now is a resort area with the most fantastic lake side restaurants

one can find .. and when I say lake side .. I mean long patios where one

can get a table 18 inches from the water. Ducks, geese, and fish will

swim up beside tables and little birds will land on them (if you allow

them to) begging for hand outs.

Enterprising villagers paddle little boats along the edge offering fresh

flowers and village made foods .. cheeses, butter in crocks, etc.

The resort is at http://www.patalyalakeside.com.tr/home.asp

Its where I went to dinner a few nights ago .. great chow .. and like

most places in Turkey .. ridiculously low prices. :-) Butch

>>I plan to beat the heat Friday and Saturday next .. taking a purty gal

>>up to the Patalya Thermal Resort .. around a half hour out of Ankara.

>>Some more photos .. http://www.patalyahotel.com.tr/

>>

>>Its popular 12 months a year .. in Winter we swim in the heated outdoor

>>pool .. with snow on the ground. In Summer its nice in that its high in

>>the mountains and much cooler. Great Turkish Baths (Hamams) and massage

>>and all the good stuff.

>>

>>One can swim inside in cool water or swim under the wall through a small

>>passage way to the outside and into the thermal springs. Walking trails

>>through the forest there .. a very natural environment.
