Thanks Anne!

I really appreciate the homeopathic input! It is a healing modality that

I truly believe works, I've seen it work on myself, my kids and my pets

(and the latter 2 don't have the placebo mentality to skew the results

;) but it, like Traditional is so in depth. My family

physician (who is now 1,000 miles away from me in Denver, but still our

family physician) is an anthroposophic doctor, and he has taught me a

lot about using homeopathic and anthroposophic remedies as well as the

philosophy behind TCM, but there is still SOOOO much to learn, and I

don't know nearly enough about either of those methods of holistic

healing!

I guess what I'm saying is any time you want to pop in and give us the

homeopathic perspective, please don't hesitate to do so!

BTW - is there a particular set of homeopathic remedies that you

recommend folks keep on hand for common issues (like say Ledum and Apis

for bug bites and Arnica for strains and bruises, etc ...), and in what

forms (pellets, gels, oils, etc ... ) and strengths (30C, 30 X, etc ..)?

Thanks!

Hi everyone;

I am a homeopathic doctor lurking on this line to learn about oils and

herbs.

The questions on bites make me think of our homeopathic remedy Ledum

30c.

This remedy is excellent for puncture wounds of all

kinds...wasps,spiders,rusty nails etc.

A friend recently returned from Cuba where she got a bite from an

unknown insect.

I gave her 2 doses of Ledum 30c and the hard swelling on her face

disappeared.

This remedy has some anti-tetanus properties as well...if given in

emergencies.

The homeopathic remedy Apis 30c can be used for bee stings.

And Calendula tincture will help externally...helps heal wounds..and

bites !!.make sure the wound is clean first..!

Thank you all for the wonderful informqtion you all share.

Anne
