Guest guest
Anyone got an idea for this one? .. My 4 yr old got a bug bite (I'm thinking mosquito) near his left eye, and it was noticeably swollen when he woke up this morning. He just got home from preschool and now it is so puffy the poor kid looks like he got socked in the eye and it is barely able open. I don't have any plantain growing around here, and I'm cautiously reluctant to put anything by his eye at all (such as an EO or " After The Bite " over the counter type stuff). Any ideas how to give the poor kid some relief? I really do hate skeeters!!!! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Guest guest
Hi Chris, when our daughter was small, she was very allergic to mosquitos, and when she got bitten anywhere near her eyes, her eyes swelled up horribly, so I know exactly what you're talking about! When she started school, I had to send notes for her teacher and school nurse so they'd know it wasn't anything more than just a bug bite! For her, I just used cold wash cloths... that was a few years ago, and I don't remember exactly, but I might have alternated warm and cold wash cloths. The swelling didn't last toooooo long, just a couple of days. I think the advice of cold tea bags sounds right on! Pam P.S. I sure wish I could send you some plantain...I've got a bumper crop growing in my yard, much to my hubby's chagrin!! - In , " Christine Ziegler " <chrisziggy@e...> wrote: > Anyone got an idea for this one? ..
