Guest guest
My SIL is VERY allergic to almost every kind of insect bite. One bite will swell her arm or leg twice ot three times the normal size. Any suggestions or aid will be deeply appreciated! Neysa
Guest guest
Neysa, Have your sister learn about plantain, the weed that round up thinks we need to get rid off... But honestly, I hardly know anything else that simple, that effective.. C-M
Guest guest
If anyone is hyper allergic I would not advise putting any essential oils on the skin. It is though sometimes possible to put a few drops on areas of clothing that don't come into close skin contact; on the leather of shoes (it will stain them though so not fancy high fashion ones)! or on the overhang of a peaked cap for example. Always worth trying citronella or catmint or both, most others in my experience the mozzies crawl all over the rest! The best protection is keeping the skin covered. , " Neysa Dormish " <the- neysa@a...> wrote: > My SIL is VERY allergic to almost every kind of insect bite. Guest guest
It's not just being hypersensitive to skin problems when using certain oils. Only putting EO's on other than skin does not prevent attacks such as asthma, as a lot of people get with certain oils, or a mix that contains fragrance oils. Guest guest
Thank you so much Martin! Appreciate your advice. Will tell her to do this. I FINALLY got some growing in my yard but I had to get a friend in another state to send me seeds and a few plants so now have it growing. Also have some dried. I thought I might infuse some in karanja oil with a touch of mink oil. I will have to give her some plants. Her problem is that she has an outside job working for a large plant supplier so she is more likely to get near the insects than someone with an inside job. Thank you so much I hadnt thought of plantain though I certainly should have!!! Smiles Neysa
