Guest guest Posted June 12, 2004 Report Share Posted June 12, 2004 Hi y'all, I realize that the above is a serious matter .. but this talk of being celibate brings to mind an incident that occurred at a cocktail party in Washington, D.C. not long ago. An U.S. Army Airborne, Special Forces Colonel around 52 years old, in full Dress Blue Uniform, was standing in the corner of the room, nursing a bourbon, with a very serious look on his face. He was spotted by two young liberal ladies who decided to have some fun with this " Old Soldier " . They approached him and asked him why he was playing the wall flower .. why didn't he join the group. The Colonel replied, " Ladies, I am bored when I attend such functions. " One of the ladies replied, " Well, if you were to get involved you might meet some nice ladies .. and you look like you could use a bit of fun in your life. " The Colonel replied, " I'm not interested in such things right now. " The young thing replied, " Colonel .. when is the last time you had sex? " The Colonel replied, " I think it was around 1950 or so. " " Jeez, " said the young gal .. " you must be a lot older than you look. But still, that's a long time to go without sex!
