Guest guest
Just a side note on iron, I had a co-worker with hemochromatosis a few years ago and helped her do research on it after she was diagnosed. Turns out that vitamin C improves iron absorption and tea (real tea, not herbals) impedes it. So if the anemic nurse doesn't want to take iron supplements, tell her to eat iron-rich foods along with citrus! By the way, hemochromatosis is the opposite of anemia; it is when the body stores too much iron. It is genetically linked (runs in families) and the only treatment modern medicine has is completely archaic - bloodletting! And reducing iron intake, once iron levels have been reduced by the bloodletting. Weird. Take care! Melissa
