Guest guest
Morning all, As I watch the memorials on TV today, it is sad, but I cannot help but be proud of the way the media and the country is honoring President Reagan. I do not talk politics or religion as a rule, yet this was MY president growing up- being old enough to read the papers, not having another TV channel to change to something else I watched him with pride and he made me feel safe, I hope my children can have such a person to look up to. We have lowered our flag & my husband and I were talking last night and do not know when it should be raised again, Monday is Flag day? Thank-you Gea
Guest guest
It is going to be raised again in all official settings 30 days after Pres. Reagan's passing (which was June 5th). Also, a side note, all gov't services are closed today - including the Post Office and banks ... Now, my family were not really Reagan fans, but I think it is very respectful and proper how his death is being covered - and that is how it should be. Still, I can't help but thinking that my dad welcomed my grandmother to the other side last week and then all of a sudden President Reagan walks in and they look at each other and said " There goes the neighborhood " May his family have peace of mind knowing that the person they so loved is no longer suffering and led a very full life that touched many (same as my family with my grandma). *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com gea [gea] Morning all, As I watch the memorials on TV today, it is sad, but I cannot help but be proud of the way the media and the country is honoring President Reagan.
