Hey Butch and all,

> Like CM said .. its a matter of strengthening the immune system.

Totally understand this. I am using all suggestions to help his body

fight back. But..........

Okay, so when we say an eo is antiviral, what exactly does that mean?

Are we talking antiviral in a petri dish, but not in the body?

Or are these anti -viral in the sense that they stimulate the immune

system to

do the job?

> Good luck .. and may the tough times pass quickly. :-) Butch

Thank you, I am sure this will become a memory as soon as the

next crisis comes along!

Laura,

I've always looked at oregano as the killer of bugs , big time..:)

From what I know of mono ( my son had it ,too) it weakens the body and

makes the person tired, run down and it makes it harder to fully

recuperate when not all functions well.

Antioxidants through diet is a good thing. See if you have a store that

carries black currant juice. It usually comes from Poland, is in large

rectangular paperboxes.

it does not have much sugar and tastes wonderful. It also packs a good

antioxidant punch.

I also swear by grapeseed antioxidants when the body is run down, to

recover.

If you have a juicer, make juice from red grapes and apples, carrots and

beets, all palatable to a 5 year old..:)

Christa,

Thank you for all your great info.

I am definitely going to use all your suggestions.

I made soup last night with a whole head of garlic

and oregano eo, and he loved it. Actually, the whole

family did too. Maybe it will help us, too.

Thanks again,

Laura

Laura,

My mother used to make a soup with green beans that I just loved. It

basically was some stewed soup meat with lots of green beans , a little

carrot and potatoes.

I never got the taste just right until I added a drop of Butch's oregano...

Now I cook most green bean dishes with a drop of oregano oil.

I know there is controversy if oregano will kill a bug or not, but I

believe it does, if applied early, strongly and than just here and there

for maintenance..

Don't know about the drop under the tongue, that would smart something

fiercely, it's easier to take on a 'crumble' of bread, chased with

yogurt. I dilute mine 3to1.
