Good it is .. glad to see you come out to play.

Glad I am .. I enjoy it here. But I enjoy it in the USA too .. and in

Norway .. I am one confused character. ;-)

If you do come I can promise you will experience one of the world's best

kept secrets .. Turkey is just that.

No .. Chris planned her on trips .. but the organizers of an annual

Pilgrimage to Turkey are Robbi and Jim .. Australians who operate Aroma

Tours .. http://www.aroma-tours.com/ I have met with their group for

quite a few years now .. but I have no connection or financial interests

in the organization.

> When is the best time to visit the rosefields

10 May - 30 May .. normally. Sometimes (driven by weather conditions)

the harvest begins as early as 8 May and sometimes it lasts as long as 6

weeks .. though that is rare. Last year I went late because a couple

from Ireland wanted me to meet them there and they couldn't come early.

We arrived on 2 June and the harvest concluded on 3 June .. so we were

cutting it very close.

If you mean Rose distillation then the above applies .. if you are also

interested in other forms of distillation .. Oregano, Sage, Rosemary,

Lavender and so on .. any time after 15 June and through September. Of

course, some of those plants are distilled year around as they can be

distilled when dry .. in fact, its better to distill some when dry.

There are MANY more photos .. but some knucklehead invaded Christine

Ziegler's website a couple of years ago and destroyed it. Lucky it is

that she had the photos saved and has slowly started to rebuild it but I

think maybe her morale was sorta bruised when that happened. ;-)

A few others can be found below .. but there are MANY, MANY others ..

including lots of photos of Chris and her friend Andrea picking Roses

with the ladies in the fields. Go to the following URL and also you

can check the links at the bottom of the page.

You got it .. and was nice to have you come out on the list. :-)

Sometime this weekend I will prepare the promised after action report on

the latest trip .. though the new photos will not be up for a while.
