And to make a lotion, >would I just increase the water portion to thin it out? oil and water don't mix... what you got was the difference between a vinagrette dressing... and a mayonaise...which uses eggs to emulsify the ingredients. you need an emulsifyer... some people use beeswax and borax...the only really 'natural' emulsifier... I've not had good luck with it... you might check with Angie at www.theherbarie.com she carries a range of safe and effective emulsifiers and preservatives.
