Sounds like my problem .. and the problem MANY folks share .. sounds like Cyatica or spasms of the Psiatic Nerve. The common short term (but its longer than I prefer) treatment is heat and rest and very careful stretching. More immediate though temporary relief comes from something very simple .. sniffing any of the Carvacrol rich Origanums .. they are ALL very anti-spasmodic. This is not theory .. its not info from one of the AT novels .. its from a number of years of my personal experience and the reports of those who I have shared this information with. Damage to the Psiatic Nerve is easily accomplished and when it happens we can plan on it visiting us periodically for the rest of our lives. Some docs will try to shoot us up with steroids and some others will quickly recommend surgery .. but there are no guarantees there and in some cases it gets worse. When that pain starts it can work down the back into the buttocks and even the legs .. at times I have had the entire left side of my body feeling like someone stuck hot knives in many places. It can kick off from dang near any incorrect movement .. lifting .. running .. sleeping wrong .. twisting about to look behind while pulling the car out of the driveway .. or something as simple as stepping off a three inch curb when we are not expecting to step down three inches. Basically, our skeletal system was not in the proper attitude when we make that move. When that rascal becomes inflamed we can feel heat in the area .. and it spasms and hurts like crazy. The immediate pain (in my opinion) is due to the spasms .. and I can get relief from them in a few minutes .. like 5-10 minutes .. just from sniffing Oregano EO. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
