Guest guest
A bit late, but better late. Here's a recipe for Israeli pickles: All the vegetables should be washed. The jar should be rinsed with boiling water Place on the bottom of the jar 2-3 cloves of garlic (peeled and cut). Add a bunch of dill Add a hot (or more) chili pepper Place the washed cucumbers in the jar - pressing them in (I like to put them vertically and pressure push the last one in to hold the rest). Pour warm water (cooled boiling water) - cup by cup counting the number of cups Add 1 teaspoon of salt per cup of water. Add on top some additional peeled and cut cloves of garlic. Close the jar and place in a warm area for 4-5 days. The color of the cucumbers will change from light green to a pickley green after a few days.. Shake the jar lightly one or twice a day and open the jar to release the gases formed. At the end of the process, keep the pickles in the fridge. I got a good amount of those pickling cucumbers - just picked this morning!!!! , and I was wondering if anyone knows how to make CRUNCHY pickles? ... If anyone has a recipe, or suggestions for crunchy pickles I'd VERY much appreciate it *Smile* Chris (list mom) New Item: Handmade Mulberry Paper Available In Many Beautiful Colors! http://www.alittleolfactory.com
