Is anyone from the list going? I'm going and wondering if anyone would be

there. Also, I'm going up a couple days early to the Cherokee, NC area and

wondering if anyone was near that area or knew of any really cool places to go.

I

also do photography so I'm looking for places to shot masterpieces and/or

native medicinal plants.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

I don't know about the conference, but I have been to Cherokee NC many times

over the years. I don't know much about medicinal plants.....but I know you

will find a multitude of places to take some truly beautiful nature

pictures. :)

If you get the chance, go to the working Cherokee Indian Village. Some of

the Natives there could give you some ideas of where to go find what you are

looking for!

I'm not going, but often they have someone who will be doing an herb walk in

the area during the conference. That person has usually been scouting the cool

places, seeing where the native medicinals are growing well/in bloom/etc. and

will be the one to ask.

Most recently, at a conference in Arizona, I was able to go on an herb walk

with Cascade Anderson Geller, who found some absolutely beautiful, fascinating

plants on a long, hot desert walk. I'd have never been able to find them

myself. She had done her homework well. But of course, she would.

Have fun! I'm envious. Give us a report when you return!
