Guest guest
HI, My name is Cathy, I'm generally known in the soapmaking community as CJ. I'm really excited to be on the list; I hope to learn more about essential oils, hydrosols, etc... but I'm also real glad it's a chatty, fun list! I guess, if y'all don't mind too much, I'd like to ask a question of the group - how do you know you've got an essential oil synergy and not just a bunch of drops of various essential oils? I hope that doesn't sound too stupid... LOL! I love reading through some of the EO books I'm starting to receive to see what their properties are... and if I were to select, say, 4 or 5 oils and just combine a few drops of each based on those properties, I wouldn't necessarily have created a synergy, would it?? It sounds too hit or miss so I'm thinking there's more to it than that... I just haven't found anything in print yet that tells me how the synergies are created. Thanks! -- cjk
