Here's another question for those of you with farm animals. Is there

anything you use that will get rid of horseflies? Yesterday, our horse had

about 10 of these things just swarming him!! I have a fly spray that works

for everything else, but not horseflies!! I've talked to several people who

have horses and they said basically nothing works on these things!! The fly

spray I use now has a high content of Citronella but also pyromethin (sp).

I figure with all the stuff I have for soapmaking and such, I should have

something that will get rid of these things!!!

Thanks,

Hi,

Check Marge Clark's site: Nature's Gift. She has a formula she

gives called " Skeeter Beater. " Her daughter has horses and uses it

for them.

Warmly,

thanks, but my daughter and her partner have 5 dogs and 9 cats, between

them... but no horses ;)

I mentioned yesterday someone has used it for horses while riding, tho...I

don't know about using it all the time...might not be cost effective.

It would appear that you did some research on the Nature's Gift web

site...becasue that's the formula that we designed several years ago....we

used to share it freely...
