Guest guest
Got a question, I've been told that smoking Indian Tobacco is extremely healthy for the body especially the lungs. Am I correct to assume that lobelia is the same as Indian tobacco? I'm taking the lobelia oral for my lungs after reading " Back to Eden, by Kloss " , and so far it does what has been written. But I've been wondering if smoking the plant would help assist in opening the lungs. Then breathing correctly(taking deep-deep breathe and slowly letting out) to expel the bad stuff. Thanks for reading and your time.
Guest guest
Be careful with lobelia.. It's one of those herbs than can cause big time trouble if you have an underlying heart condition, such as arrhythmia.. Don't smoke the leaves from the lobelia plant or nicotania plant. To open up your lungs, gather 2nd year mullein leaves and dry them well, add a little plantain and mint to the mix, keep an apple peel in the container that has the smoking mix to keep it from drying out. Mullein will help your lungs and contains no nicotine. C-M

That being said, it's an extremely valuable mucolytic and antispasmodic herb, and when usedw ith respect can be exceptionally helpful. Start with small dosages and work your way up. But ingest it, dont smoke it. Don't smoke the leaves from the lobelia plant or nicotania plant. It's appropriate if you're already a smoker and want something to perhaps add to a smoking mixture, or if you want it for ceremonial purposes, but dont smoke something just becasue your read it somewhere. Again, ingestion of mullein (and if you're making a tea, if this one, be very careful of those itchy little hairs-filter the tea _very_ well), elecampane, lobelia, all are very valuable. But smoking is always going to be more harm than good, no matter what the compound is that you're smoking. But the deep breathing, now-that's wonderful. Guest guest
I have a fried that smokes and herb to 'open up his lungs.' He has very sever asthma, and says that this herb is the only thing that's help him in the last 20 years. Sorry to say that it's illegal. I bet you can guess.
