Guest guest Posted May 14, 2004 Report Share Posted May 14, 2004 Hi y'all, Some of you may find this information to be boring .. others might see the potential advantages of the UK avoiding having to knuckle down to another level of bureaucracy .. a bureaucracy that has passed rules that have already caused frustration amongst those who grow and distill EO .. and those who call themselves AT Practitioners. A new political party has been started in the UK .. its campaigning for taking the UK out of the EU. It will be interesting to see how well the party does in the summer Euro elections, but from what I am told, their arguments are very good. They say they are all for a free trade area, but are against the empire building, corruption and anti-democratic setup of the European commission. I am told that the message will be well received by the older population, but whether folks get off their butts and vote remains to be seen. In time, we will see more of such movements. I say this after having talked with a number of Europeans who are not real happy about having lost their autonomy .. and who understand the REAL reasons behind the establishment of the EU in the first place.
