Hey Buffy,

Lemme make one more suggestion .. nothing scientific about it ceptin my

grandpa and his pa and their grandson and great grandson believe it and

that's only cause it does work. ;-)

If you don't got a onion .. but you do got some mud .. that's all right.

But the best thing is to go out to the baccer barn and pull off a

piece of leaf whut done been smoked or air cured real good. Take that

rascal and chaw it up to make it soft .. then put it on the sting. Now

... as you are living in Colorado I spect mebbe there ain't no baccer

barn near the home place .. so you can chaw up a Marlboro and get about

the same effects. Being as you're into AT and all I reckon you probably

ain't into vices like baccer so just go next door to your neighbor who

ain't go no idee what AT is and git a Marlboro from him or her.

Great group it is .. and rat after you chew that baccer up and slap it

on that sting you gonna be in better shape to tell family and friends

whut might work.

And another alternative if you dont feel like chawing on baccy is chawing on

plantain (Plantago spp., not the big bananas).

This is the PREMIER herb to know about for quick first aid. It grows

everywhere where the ground is compacted and a bit moist, and perhaps not TOO

much

sun. It's a " weed " that has to be one of the most lovely little gifts we have.

Tkae a few leaves of plantain-it shoudl be fresh, so stake out plants around

you-and they WILL be around you-and chaw them puppies up. Dont swallow the

infused saliva, as that's part of the good stuff. Slap the whole mess onto a bug

bite or sting and it'll reduce the swelling and pain right away. In fact, that

little poultice is pretty much good for any type of skin issue.

Beautiful. I love plantain.

You can also throw a bunch of leaves in the blender with a little water or

oil, blen dit up and freeze it in your ice cube trays-keep that on hand for

times when you dont have a plant handy.
