Essential Oils:

 

Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) balances the hormones. It contains

natural sclareol, a phytoestrogen that mimics estrogen function. It

may help with menstrual cramps, PMS, and pre-menopause symptoms and

may help with circulatory problems.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a decongestant of the prostate and

balances hormones. It is anti-inflammatory and reduces scarring. It

also helps with nerve inflammation.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is known as the universal oil

because of its wide range of usage. It helps relieve headaches and

PMS symptoms.

 

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has hormone-like activity that helps

balance hormones. Fennel is antiseptic and stimulating to the

circulatory and respiratory systems. It is antispasmodic, and

stimulating to the cardiovascular system. With its hormone-like

activity, fennel may help facilitate childbirth and increase

lactation after birthing.

 

 

Sage (Salvia officinalis) helps alleviate premenopause symptoms, such

as depression.

 

Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) has been used for sexual disabilities,

lack of desire, and relaxation.

 

Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) is beneficial for dry, greasy,

irritated, or sensitive skin. It is used for muscle spasms, sprains,

coughs, laryngitis, frigidity, depression, and nervous exhaustion.

Jasmine has also been used for prostate problems and impotence.

 

Marjoram (Origanum majorana) is used for calming the respiratory

system and soothing sore and aching muscles. Marjoram helps

regenerate smooth muscle tissue, and also assists in relieving spasms

and migraine headaches and calming the nerves. It is antimicrobial,

anti-infectious, antibacterial, antiseptic and may work as a

diuretic. Marjoram aids in relief of menopause symptoms as well as

painful periods.
