Guest guest
" Folks know about my Rose > Petal Jam http://www.av- at.com/jam.html .. been out of stock in my Maryland company for a few months but its a hot seller .. " I know! I haven't whined about it yet, but I'm still out of it too! : ( Fortunately, I do have enough Rose Hydrosol and Otto to make Chris's Rose Cake Icing, and I substituted Raspberry Jam for the Rose Petal Jam. Not the same, but different and very good. Raspberry and Rose seem to mix really well too. Try a little rose hydrosol in your raspberry smoothie. :... started sprucing up plain yoghourt with this ... " Yes, that is very good. Haven't tried it yet with the 'greek style' yogurt. I bet that would be even better. Greek Style yogurt is what we call 'yogurt cheese' in the U.S. One puts the yogurt in cheese cloth and separates the whey out. What you get is a super thick and creamy yogurt - and I think it's naturally sweeter - sort of like cream. Course, never hurts to add a little stevia or sugar. " two kilos of fresh strawberries .. big muthers .. cost 63 cents a kilo (2.2 lbs) and sliced them, sprinkled on a bit of sugar and have them marinating in their own juices in the refrigerator now. Sometime today I'll mix 1/3 of them with a kilo of plain yoghourt and that will be my snack for the rest of the week .. it satisfies my sweet tooth. " Hmm, Butch, sounds like you are having a party!! Yummie! Hey.. ..you should mix in some Rose Hydrosol into that, or mix some rose hydrosol with a little sugar (or stevia extract), and whipped cream, and add that to the strawberries. What time should I come over? I'll grab flight on the concord and be right… oh, yea, that's right, they cancel that. :-( Plus, it would have cost a large bucket of money. " Couple of months ago I mixed Rose Petal Jam with yoghourt .. and it was larpin' gud. Then I poured a bit of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup in with it and it was gud enough to make one throw their grandpappy in the crik. " Yummie, sounds like you hit perfection with that one. Hmm, now you've got me thinking about what to do with Rose and Ylang Sugar. Hmm David Roman

Thin with a little milk, sugar and lemonjiuce to make a wonderful sauce for fruit or fresh spinach dressing. Mix with a little jam , great dessert... Mix with onions, garlic and fresh herbs, great sandwich spread. Just use whole yoghourt, not the diet kind, for that is mixed with other stuff, that doesn't want to work well.
