I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of buying

good quality herbs/seeds/plants online??

Well, sems like as good a time as any to say howdy and introdue myself:

I'm Julie, an herbalist in Long Beach, CA. I play with EOs, but my deep and

abiding love is the medicinal plants. I buy my seeds from Horizon herbs (see

below) and grow them mostly from seed, though I also like to buy plants.

I'm teaching a class on herbalism through Parks and Recreation beginning

tomorrow, and am startign off with gardening & wildcrafting-and giving my

students

all an assortment of herbs to take home and begin growing. I got all my seeds

from Horizon, and have been growing them in my little nursery beds in

preparation for tomorrow.

So they'll go home with one each of

Mullein

Valerian

Elecampane

Yarrow

Lemon balm

and

Burdock

So that'll be fun, but I'll be sad to see my babies go....

Anyway, back to your question:

The most wonderful herb places are:

Horizon Herbs in Oregon: www.horizonherbs.com

Goodwin Creek Gaardens, great variety, lovely people:

www.goodwincreekgardens.com

Richter's in Canada: www.richters.com

For Chinese herbs, Elixir Herbs: www.elixirfarm.com/

Also, for good gardening supplies go to Peaceful Valley Farm Supply:

www.groworganic.com

Hi Pam, my name is Rita (I'll do the intro thing later). I use to live in the St

Louis area and have a good friend who grows herbs and teaches classes down near

Cuba (actually its south past Steelville) If this is the part of MO you live in

and would like more info I'd be happy to pass along her name to you. I moved

from MO in 96 to come to Colorado for graduate school -- that completed I just

stayed here!! .
