Congratulations Jan :) Welcome to the world grandbaby boy! :-D

 

Dunno about the circ' salve as neither of my boys were circ'd, but for

the umbilical cord I can tell you that I got an umbilical dusting powder

from my midwife for it that was simply powdered goldenseal root and it

worked wonderfully - just a little dusting a couple times a day ... :)

we're grandparents for the first time! I would like to make a salve for

our grandson's circumcision and umbilical cord . Any suggestions? TIA

Congrats on Grandmahood!

 

I definitely dont recommend a salve for the umbilicus. Dusting powder or

echinacea tincture work greaT. I used ech tincture and my midwife was amazed

at how fast it healed.

 

I am inexperienced with circs, because I didnt do that to my boys...but I

guess salve would be good- Id say calendula...I know they usually use

neosporin or something...
