Guest guest
Hi Butch, About the ring you want.. jewelers do that Never wanted to be in competition with them, I do my stuff with a hardware torch , rather set beachpebbles than diamonds and every piece is an original. My darn hip has kept me out of the silversmithing studio, too cold for the bones and too much walking to the sink to clean things up... So, I've been playing with beads and wrapping stones, got pretty good at it , too.. Toronto was fun, Susan and Dan still come visiting me every year, something I look forward to. Hugs, C-M
Guest guest
Hey CM, > Hoping to meet old friends... That you done done I reckon. Welcome aboard. :-) Haven't heard much from you since Idma sorta faded away so I was beginning to think you done took off for some exotic Pacific Island. Its not a bad idea .. I been thinking a lot about it lately. > I am Christa-Maria, German born, americanized and live in northern > MIchigan. A glutton for punishment .. them winters y'all got there. ;-) > Using essential oils has been a passion of mine now for years. More > in the medicinal sense than using them for perfumes. > Wildforaging for medicinal herbs has been a lifelong quest, with > much knowledge learned from the Odawa natives of my area. I do make > almost all of my own cosmetics, salves and tinctures. That she does .. one smart cookie this lady is. > Making unusual jewelry also has been a lifelong hobby of mine, but > that belongs to another list... If I be real nice will you make me a real cheap but high quality ring with a big Star Sapphire with Rubies on both sides? ;-) > I am a retired Art teacher , my medium is silver work, but I swear > there is not a craft that I have not done.. I love it all. Good for you. > Due to a broken hip that has not healed as it should, I've become a > couch potato, walking is reserved for gathering and preparing > tinctures and salves and some food.. Housekeeping is something I now > rarely waste my energy on.. Same here. Sorry to hear the hip is not doing so well. :-( > But my couch is a glorious nest of beads, tools, wire and somewhere > in all that my cat Buddy finds a place to snuggle up. I miss my katz .. had two street kitties they were smarter than I wanna bore y'all with. In Summer 1995 I completed a contract and applied for law school .. shipped all my household goods and such to Tennessee .. where they still are cause I then made the mistake of letting my buddies talk me into opening a company here steada doing what I thought I wanted to do which was write wills and such small stuff and bass fish 3 days a week and on weekends. Anyway, my neighbors were a nice Air Force couple and they loved my katz .. which I was worried about cause I would not have a maid in the USA .. so I gave my black devil, Shadow and my sweet male Tabby, Hobbes, to them and now the little rascals are also American citizens .. got their Green Cards and all and are living in Arizona. I reckon Shadow is doing a job on all the snaddlerakes and Gila Monsters and such cause she was one wild lady. ;-) > C-M > http://pages.ivillage.com/libelle2/cmco/ Y'all .. I met CM back in 1999 .. I pitched a lecture up in Toronto .. a heckuva nice lady she is and glad I am to see her on this list. :-) Y'all keep smiling.
