Guest guest
Hi all, some help possibly? (cannot give full info right now sorry) Female, 25 years old, very slim. Primary complaint is fatigue and nausea aches and pains irritability / mood swings inability to sleep early (1, 2, 4 am common) drooling (she " wrecks pillows " ) sensitivity to food inability to concentrate weak muscle power dizziness highly variable acne (usually darkish red with yellow head, some purple, cheeks and jaw) etc (all complaints in existence from an early age) Tongue pale small tongue body coating usually thin and slightly greasy, white, sometimes yellow sometimes red speckles at tip, or reddish on the sides Pulses all weak, Lung position very weak some sogginess at spleen a little on the slow side So the question: I have been treating her for a year now, acu and herbs. Improvements: moods are no longer unstable rarely dizzy appetite slightly increased very rarely nauseous aches and pains reduced by about half concentration better Not improved her energy is better, but I rate it as less than 1/4 improved, she agrees *** her drooling seems to be worse actually So any ideas, I'd like to stop the drooling, I think it may be damaging her teeth as well. Guest guest
Hi Mr. Ramiro, What was the Dx and Tx for this patient? I have taken the liberty to differentiate the symptoms and signs - you know this already so, please do not think I am trying to teach you! Female, 25 years old, very slim. - Very slim or thin? If thin then Sp def Primary complaint is fatigue Sp def nausea - St def or cold aches and pains - aches in pains in the limbs then YangMing def due to Sp/St def, if entire body then probabaly Qi stagnation/Dampness irritability / mood swings - Blood (Liv or Sp Yin) def inability to sleep early (1, 2, 4 am common) Yin def (probably Blood/Liv or JinYe(Kid) due to failing T & T of Sp) drooling (she " wrecks pillows " ) - Drool is the body fluid of the Sp sensitivity to food - How does this manifest? often due to St/Sp def and/or Cold inability to concentrate - Sp def (Yi) possibly dampness weak muscle power - YangMing channels of ST and LI control the limbs dizziness - Dampness, Yin def heat highly variable acne (usually darkish red with yellow head, some purple, cheeks and jaw) - Trapped heat in Foot Yang Ming = local Damp-Heat etc (all complaints in existence from an early age) - Probabaly constitutional Tongue pale - Blood def small tongue body - Blood def coating usually thin and slightly greasy, white, sometimes yellow Intestinal Dampness (Heat/Cold) sometimes red speckles at tip, or reddish on the sides - Could be def heat (Heat disperses up and out) Pulses all weak - Qi, Blood, JinYe def (Lacks ST Qi) Lung position very weak - Often due to Sp def (NanJing: Weakness Evils come fom behind) some sogginess at spleen - Qi, Blood, JinYe def with emphasis on Qi def can be one interpretation a little on the slow side - Cold The diagnosis sounds like it could be a Sp Yüan Qi def with Dampness and Yin def heat (At least it would be a probable diagnosis in Japanese (classical) acupuncture - Def Sp Yüan Qi = Constitutional + perhaps complicated with Sp depletion due to emotional factor of ie worrying/ruminating or too much study, emotional/physical strain or bad diet). > > So the question: > I have been treating her for a year now, acu and herbs. > Improvements: > moods are no longer unstable > rarely dizzy > appetite slightly increased > very rarely nauseous > aches and pains reduced by about half > concentration better > Not improved > her energy is better, but I rate it as less than 1/4 improved, she agrees > *** her drooling seems to be worse actually > Worsened drooling could be due to not keeping abdomen warm - does she take > care of herself? Guest guest
Hi Hugo, Just to stop drooling prick around the lips; a little bleeding is O.K. Treat several times, like every day or every other day. But you also must drain dampness. Suggest that she stops eating raw foods to help with avoiding further dampness. And after a few treatments if the drooling doesn't go away completely I have 2 another suggestions. Good luck, Gloria Hugo Ramiro <subincor wrote: Hi all, some help possibly?
