Guest guest
Caitlin, you are welcome. If you are interested in this, there is a page with a lot of other resources about community acupuncture: http://www.communityacupuncturenetwork.org/links.html articles, books, another video. One article on that page is by Subhuti Dharmananda Ph.D " Restructuring American Acupuncture " (though it sounds like it might be true for British acu too?). He talks about the treatment frequency and duration. It was said earlier in this discussion " in the west people like their space, time, and privacy. " There is another video on Google of the founder of Working Class Acupuncture making a presentation at the school I attended, OCOM. Her point is that there are a lot of working class people who are in pain who don't care about individual treatments, they just want results. I have visited the WCA clinic and I think I agree. They don't have a single private treatment room and they treat 350 patients a week. The clinic runs on the fees the patients pay. It makes sense to me that there are different kinds of people and they want different things. That's true about everything else, why not acupuncture too? This is much food for thought. Thank you > for posting the link. > Caitlin
