Guest guest
Hi all!! I was wondering if anyone has read both Palden Carsons book about Dr Tongs acupuncture as well as Dr Wei Chieh Youngs book and could contrast and compare. I have Dr Carsons book and although there is a lot of good information I wasnt too happy with it for a couple of reasons. #1 some of the pictures with the points make it difficult to find them. #2 I think it is not very well organized. I have used many of these points as well as many of Dr Tans and Dr Chens in my clinic and have gotten amazing results, especially with pain management. Any thoughts? Guest guest
Both of them were considered official students by Master Tung himself. Young Wei-Chieh is a master in several fields, including the I Jing and Nei-Jing. His book is considered the gold standard right now. and he comments that Tong is a Mainland transliteration of the name, while Master Tung was from Taiwan, so writing " Tung " would be more accurate. I only hear good things about Young Wei-Chieh. Buy his book " Tung's Acupuncture " for $77+ shipping at his website: http://www.drweichiehyoung.com/ It's worth a lot more than that price. Hope this helps your practice, k. Guest guest
I also have been looking at these choices. Susan Johnson has a book, and James Maher has Advanced Tung Style acupuncture. How do these compare? All I can tell from the websites is that they're all expensive! Hopefully I can make an informed choice...
