Guest guest
Dear Sunny, Two important points come from both of our experiences: one: there is no such thing as an " average " person. Nor should exceptions to " normal ranges " be considered as pathological. When it comes to birthing, as long as there is no fetal distress, and the mother is comfortable and healthy, instead of intervening and turning the most wonderful, natural process into a medical procedure, why not let the baby come out when it's ready, while at the same time supporting both mom and baby? The same thing goes for medical tests. I think that it is incredibly important for us to be able to read and understand lab results, while not relying on the lab telling us that the patient's readings are within normal ranges, if our observation and understanding leads us to believe that this patient's range is different than others.
