Guest guest
Hi, I bill 97814 @ 3 units (27.05 per unit) and 97041 for the initial eval and was promptly and justly paid. --- amiacup <amiacup wrote: > Hi All, > > Does anyone know about work comp's code to bill? > > I know > > Acupuncutre 97800 > additional 15 min. 97811 > > Elec. Guest guest
Hi Petra, How much do you charge for the initial Evaluation. I had accepted a car insurance coverage. I don't know how to bill E/M (code / how much to charge) I would appreciate your kind response. Take care. amy ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
For California Work Comp, the Division of Work Comp publishes the Official Medical Fee Schedule on its website... http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/OMFS9904.htm You'll need to scroll down to the " Physician services " section. The maximum reimbursable fee is listed for each procedure code. As a reminder, the sharing of fee and pricing information among practitioners is generally considered a violation of federal antitrust laws. Health care is one of top three areas where the FTC/ DoJ concentrate most of there enforcement efforts. The feds do take this seriously and the consequences can be very unpleasant. Best not to discuss this stuff. --Bill. Guest guest
Petra, Was this in California Work Comp? According to the most recent CA DWC fee schedule that I'm aware of, 97814 is not a billable code in Work Comp. To the best of my knowledge, the CA Work Comp codes are still procedure based, not time based and are limited to 97800 (acupuncture) and 97801 (electroacupuncture). --Bill. Guest guest
Hey Bill- I search high and low on that page and can't find the fee schedule. There is an order form link to buy the 1999 OMFS (office medical fee schedule) for $45, but I couldn't find any listing on that site. could you kindly indicate exactly which link on that page if you know? thanks, Phil Chinese Medicine , Bill Mosca <mosca wrote: > > For California Work Comp, the Division of Work Comp publishes the > Official Medical Fee Schedule on its website... > > http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/OMFS9904.htm >

Guest guest
Phil, The CA Work Comp OMFS can be found at... http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/OMFS9904.htm You'll need to scroll WAY down the page the " Physician Services " section. (Given the length of the page, it's easiest to use the find function in your browser to do this.) There you'll find the OMFS table (Table A 9789.11) that applies to us. The most recent full table is dated May 2005, but there is a minor addendum made in February 2007. The May 2005 table is available as an Excel spreadsheet... (PDF also available) http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/dwcpropregs/OMFS_Regulations/ OMFS_tableAMay.xls --Bill.
