Guest guest
I actually have an article with a protocol for breast enlargement acupuncture, though I must say it doesn't sound like it would be much fun for the patient, and though it was fairly effective (about 60% of the cases treated were deemed to have significant improvement in size and consistency) it was only used with women with little or no breast development to begin with. The rational of the treatment was a mix of Western and TCM stating that the normal hormonal development had not occurred. Its a pretty predictable set of points: ST 16, 18 (yikes), 36, SP 18, DU 14, SI 11. All needled for maximum de qi, ST 36 is supposed to feel a strong nerve sensation to the area of LV 3, Manipulate needles 1-2 times while retaining for 15-20 minutes. The protocol was implemented with 2 " 30g needles. Each course of treatment consisted of ten TX, typically cases showed improvement in 5-8 courses of treatment, meaning it is effective after 50-80 treatments. Even with daily visits that reflects some hard-core acupuncture, I have patients with crippling back pain who wouldn't come in that much if I could guarantee they'd feel better. In any case, I think it reflects the fact that your essentially changing a constitutional issue via acupuncture, and that takes a while...
