Guest guest
Petra, A number of questions come to mind. 1) Chinese medicine puts the emphasis on the patient with the disease before the disease itself. This means pattern differentiation. You need to share pulse, tongue, and symptom pictures with the group first. 2) If you've never treated diabetic patients before, and haven't been trained in doing so, do you really feel comfortable treating them? Is there a senior practitioner who can guide you with this patient? 3) There is an excellent book from Blue Poppy Press, " The Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus with " by Flaws, Kuchinski and Casanas, which is very large and very in-depth from both a biomedical and Chinese medical point of view. This should help you become more confident in treating this patient. On Mar 27, 2007, at 9:45 AM, petrabuchanan wrote: > Dear Group, I have patient with gestational diabetes. Guest guest
Dear Z'ev and group, thank you for your input. I have had quite a few diabetic patients with good results just not one who is pregnant. I also just ordered the book you mentioned. And have called a few of my teachers for their advice. I have not seen the patient yet so I have no idea about tongue and pulse. She is coming in next week. I will let you know how it goes. --- <zrosenbe wrote: > Petra, > A number of questions come to mind. > > 1) Chinese medicine puts the emphasis on the patient > with the disease > before the disease itself.
