Guest guest
Greetings friends, Information for the Zhang San Feng Festival & Dao of Health Expo is finally available. We've been going crazy rebuilding the website and desktop publishing about 100 hours worth of material but everything can now be viewed at: http://www.taichifest.com. The Zhang San Feng Festival is the oldest Chinese internal martial arts event in the country. A purely educational event, it brings together many of the top masters in the US to offer a series of 90 minute workshops over the course of three days. Instead of paying for each workshop, attendees pay one price at the door and can then go see however many workshops they want for all three days. Workshop topics range through all aspects of tai chi, bagua, xingyi, qigong, TCM, Daoist philosophy, I-Ching studies and more. We also include off topic workshops in several external arts (we have some great workshops on Tiger style Hung Ga kungfu and lion dancing this year, for example), as well as feng shui, weapons forms, meditation, etc. Of special interest to the groupWhen not in workshops, you can enjoy our unique vending area with everything from Chinese weapons and clothing, to home brews of dit da jow, educational DVDs, etc. We also have catered wine and cheese parties every night with entertainment. The university offers room and board packages, allowing you to park on Thursday evening and stay on campus all weekend. Meals are " buffet style " all you can eat, with enough food selection to make everyone from carnivore to vegan happy. DISCOUNTED PRICES START AT JUST $99 FOR THE ENTIRE 3+ DAYS (see website for details). Thats less that $25 per day to access all the workshops and the vending area. The price even includes all the evening partys. Among the 20+ presenters we have this year, some of our special guest presenters include master, author, movie actor and 7 time world karate and kungfu champion, Willie " The Bam " Johnson, and Master Zilai Qin, visiting martial arts champion, scholar and master, from China. Whether you are interested in the Chinese internal martial arts, qigong, traditional Chinese medicine, or any of the other Daoist arts, the Zhang San Feng Festival & Dao of Health Expo is someplace you can come to share the fun, excitement and energy of like-minded people, learn new things, make new friends (and perhaps run into a few old ones) all in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere. We have included in this email, the workshop schedule for this year (see below). If you have any questions regarding the teachers, workshops or Festival itself, please don't hesitate to contact us. If you have any questions about the Festival, please don't hesitate to call or email us directly. Sincerely yours, Jim Donnelly ********************************** 2007 Festival Workshop Schedule ********************************** Thursday evening, May 31, 2007 (opening ceremonies) - Wine & cheese reception - Opening ceremonies / shamanic blessing / a few jokes, etc. - Friday workshop overview by presenters - Hall of Fame awards (Master Jianye Jiang 2007 winner). - Try Out Toys Entertainment puts on a show with new toys for this year!
