KD excess - Water stagnation

Thanks for the insights,

One of my professors was treating a woman for slight water retention,

depression, slightly overweight, submerged hidden kidney pulse(s), chronic

fatigue, pale face, no history of KD/ UB infections, but possible hx of

sexual abuse;

for over a year with no effect with KD qi tonifying and promote water

circulation herbs and points such as: KD 3, 7, SP 3, 9, UB 23, SJ 4, 5

etc...

Then she measured the yuan source points for bio-electro

conductivity/resistance with the " qi machine " software program that is out

there and found that the KD channels had excessive readings.

(not sure if this means inflammation, stagnation of qi,water etc).

She started a protocol of draining the UB channel with the points:

UB 58 (luo), 59 (xi of yang qiao), 60, 62, 63 (xi), 64(source), 65 (wood,

son), 66 (water, horari) etc in separate treatments, instead of tonifying

her KDs.

Within a couple of months, her fatigue was greatly reduced, her depression

lifted and her chi pulses were felt with vigour.

I was explained that this was a condition of KD excess and the pulses were

submerged because of water stagnation, pushing the qi down. The lower UB

channel was used to irrigate the excess water out of the body. It was

explained to me that many Westerners experience chronic fatigue because of

stagnancy, not vacuity - the old saying of " over fed, but under-nourished " .

Has anyone else experienced this?

Would you say that this fits along the pattern of " KD excess " ?

of should it be called " Water excess " of " Fluid stagnancy " of " UB water

retention " etc.

Thanks, k.
