I guess so! take it from me, the level of literacy at acu colleges on prac. mgmt issues is low. that's why we grad. with little understanding of laws and regs: they don't know them. eg: still trying (for 5 years now) to get a realiable answer on how many years one is required to store patient charts in NC. just today asked the admin. dir. of a local acu college who had no idea, and even less on how to find out. i'm taking a class with an integrative MD next weekend. she *should* know. kb > > -- Kath Bartlett, LAc, MS, BA UCLA Oriental Medicine Experienced, Dedicated, Effective Asheville Center For 70 Woodfin Place, Suite West Wing Two Asheville, NC 28801 828.258.2777 kbartlett www.AcupunctureAsheville.com <http://www.acupunctureasheville.com/> -- Kath Bartlett, LAc, MS, BA UCLA Oriental Medicine Experienced, Dedicated, Effective Asheville Center For 70 Woodfin Place, Suite West Wing Two Asheville, NC 28801 828.258.2777 kbartlett www.AcupunctureAsheville.com
Guest guest
I Just wanted to put my two cents in. M.D.'s routinely self refer for medications, diagnostic imaging, and PT. They do this by disclosing to the patient that they have a finacial interest in the facility and the patient is free to obtain those services or goods at a place of their choosing. I just heard of a medical group that was offering a 15%-20% split to the practitioners - Talk about slave labor. Unfortunatly I know people take it. Ken Cherman, L.Ac. The practitioners in those settings easily bill several thousand a day. -- Regards, Pete http://www.pete-theisen.com/
Guest guest
Yes, Pete: A dentist I know does 30% of collections, but collections are way over what we bring in a given time period.
