Has anyone come across this or treated successfully with Chinese

herbs?

The patient is a typical candidate - male, 50 y.o. He had the

diagnosis confirmed by a number of specialists and his only treatment

option is now phototherapy and oral steroids.

He has had it for 5 years, exacerbation for last 6 months. Small red

itchy papules on the torse - worse on the front, occasionally extend

onto shoulders. Excoriation. Worse in winter, better in summer.

No history of excessive exposure to sun when young. Does not sweat

abnormally. Body temperature not excessively warm.

Experiences severe heartburn and stomach cramps when eats garlic and

spicy foods. Endoscopic examinations for H.pylori +ve. Treated

successfully in 2004.

Anxious person. Experiences panic attacks on crowded trains/tubes.

Nutritionist told him it was leaky gut syndrome.

Tongue: small body, red tip, central longitudinal cracks

Pulse: moderate

Any thoughts appreciated...

Angelo
