That's my impression too. I find it encouraging that a diversity of

doctorate possibilities is emerging in the field. In addition to the

ACCAOM clinical standard and the AUCM (and possibly NESA) flavors, I

think the group that is attempting an alternative A/OM accreditation

org (forgetting it's name, but it's the one led by Ted Priebe) has in

mind yet another form of doctorate.

 

And one of Paul Unschuld's recommendations for the field is to

cultivate a plurality of modalities of study. His particular slant is

nurturing various academic flavors of study in addition to his

historical focus, as seen in the ethnographic / anthropological

dissertations/ books by Kim Taylor, Volker Scheid and Elizabeth Hsu.
