Guest guest
Dear Friends, There is an EPA proposal to remove lead from monitoring and control under the National Ambient Air Quality Standards. Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2006-0735. Lead is one of the most harmful toxins on Earth, and is particularly hazardous for children. Lead poisoning damages the major organs and causes (amonst other ailments) osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, anemia, learning and memory problems, and seizures. I used the Union of Concerned Scientists' website to comment to the EPA, and I hope you do too; or contact the EPA directly (confusing). Go to: http://www.ucsusa.org/ look on the right side for the smoke stack and the take action link just above. And please pass this on to everyone you can. Those of you in California, contact Sen. Boxer, majority chairman of the senate committee on environment and public works, etc... Deadline for public comment: February 5, 2007. Thank You, David Tarlo, L.Ac.
