Guest guest
Hi Z'ev and all interested parties, A few days ago, I mentioned a gentleman I met who was providing artisan-quality acupuncture supplies. I emailed him, and his reply and contact info are below. Too bad his website isn't up yet - the absolute beauty of the materials he provides is totally amazing. They positively exude qi, and make me wonder why I would ever want to use anything else (if not for the expense). If anyone purchases and uses his materials, I'd love to hear what you think of them. zacupuncture wrote: zacupuncture < Re: gold needles available? Wed, 24 Jan 2007 19:21:58 -0500 Hi Andrea Beth Thank you for thinking of me. Please feel free to refer anyone who is interested in gold needles or any hard-to-find supplies my way. The website is still under construction, but e-mail and phone are still working fine for orders. 24K gold may be a little difficult to find, as it would be overly soft and delicate. I do not know of anyone who makes such things. For needle and teishin work, the common practice is to use gold alloys with a high gold content, but still enough other metal to give the tool strength and longevity. 18k is the most common gold used for needles. I also have access to a small, very old and respected Japanese needle crafting family who will make an exquisite 20k gold needle. Of course, all gold needles are non-sterile and I cannot recommend using them for inserted techniques. If you or your teacher are interested in placing an order, or if either of you have questions, you may reach me by e-mail at zacupuncture or by phone at 781-860-8808. Warmly, -Zachary Parsons Owner, Zacupuncture PO Box 254 Lexington, MA 02420 617-686-0177 zacupuncture
