Guest guest
I applaud your inventiveness, though it may be dicey. I don't think cupping is the type of vasopneumatic therapy this code is intended to address, and could there be scope of practice issues, at least in some states, because it is a physical therapy code? I'm not saying I don't think you should, I'm just pondering. Avery

Guest guest
Thanks, but I can not take the credit for it. I took an acupuncture insurance billing class at PCOM NY and was taught how to bill for acupuncture services including acupuncture, cupping, tuina, moxa, etc. So I took the instructors advice and bill it if I use it. Before I bill all patients, I call to verify with their insurance. I tell them I am an acupuncturist and ask if they cover the following codes and I go down the list. Nothing shady about that!
