Guest guest
Dear Anne, I wrote to them asking your question as well as the cost involved in setting up a salt room, and received back the following response from their North American rep: Dear Yehuda, Concerning the contraindication of salt room therapy, the only concern with its use if for those with severe high blood pressure, since any form of salt tends to increase that..... I like your question concerning TB, yes, you are absolutely correct - why NOT use for TB? Since the bacterium that causes TB spreads in microscopic droplets, this would certainly be something that a salt room could attack, and in a very effective way. You should build a salt room and get a big govt. grant to study the effects of a salt room therapy on TB...! Speaking of building a salt room, here is the latest offer by Vladimir in building a 2 person cabin: 1. The 2-person`s Salt Cabin approx. size: 8,5 " x 5 " (length and breadth) 6,5 (height) will be assembled from wood materials; inside covered by metal net and NaCl-Salt coating Additionally will be installed our salt-generator " Iiris-13 " , suited for USA-voltage 2. Our two specialists are ready for 10-days work with expert " know-how " without any labour/tax in return for full accommodations (room & board) during this period. 3. The estimated cost : a) the salt-generator, USD 4,500.00 (will be transported with flight) b) wood materials, cables, glass door, etc. approx. USD 730.00 (from a local shop) c) salt (2,200.00 lb) approx. USD 270,00 (from local supplier) b) flight tickets of 2 persons Tallinn-NJ-Tallinn approx. USD 2,000.00 Total approx. cost 7,500.00 USA dollars. Labor & Parts guarantee - 24 months. Basically, Vladimir is offering to come and work 10 days to build your salt room for free if you will simply cover his and his colleague's air fare and accommodations while they are there. Since he will be bringing the generator over with him, this will also save all kinds of customs, duty, and shipping costs (which actually would come to MORE than both of their airfares). Most of the other materials to build a salt cabin can be picked up at Home Depot. Hope this information helps you, let me know if you have any more questions - I enjoyed looking over your site and hope we can do business in the future....
